LE CHAMEAU FIT GUIDE

All Le Chameau boots are handmade on an aluminium last to ensure that the foot and leg are properly supported. Le Chameau recommend that you allow space for thicker socks or trousers if you normally wear these inside your boots, therefore if you prefer a generous fit for prolonged use, or are between sizes, please choose the size above your regular shoe size.

Those with a wider calf, or those wanting to tuck trousers into boots can take advantage of the adjustable calf boots, or the Chasseur wider calf style for added comfort and ease of movement.

Le Chameau boots are available with a range of different liners including leather, jersey and neoprene and are crafted to different shapes to accommodate different uses, however neither of these factors should impact on shoe size or calf width. Over time, neoprene will give a little, as will wool. Leather will mould to your foot and stretch a tiny bit, but jersey will remain true to size.

How to Measure Calf Width

1. Sit on a chair with your foot and leg bare, your foot relaxed and flat on the floor and your knee bent at a 90-degree angle.

2. Find the widest point of your calf using a tape measure and measure round that point keeping your foot flat on the floor.

3. Add 2cm to this measurement to account for your trousers/jeans, a thick pair of socks, and some breathing space.
