These are aiming marks rather than targets, and the difference is worth knowing. A Target Spot is a plain fluorescent disc you stick wherever you want a bull: on a cardboard box, on the back of a spent target, on a sheet of paper pinned to a frame. The colour does two jobs. It gives the eye something definite to settle on, which tightens the sight picture, and it shows a hole clearly, because dark against bright reads far better than dark against dark.
