Ten and a half grains is heavy for a .177. A standard pellet weighs around eight, and that extra two and a half changes how it behaves: it holds on to energy downrange, keeps its line better in a crosswind, and drops more steeply in exchange. That makes it a pellet for FAC-rated rifles and for longer shots at larger quarry rather than the everyday choice in a sub-twelve gun, where something lighter will usually group better. Domed head, hard lead alloy, five hundred to the tin. Head sizes vary a little between pellets, so sorting a tin is worth the trouble if you are chasing the last of the accuracy.

Alan Paine clothing has three defined fits, ‘Shooting Fit’, ‘Classic Fit’ and ‘Fashion & Tailored Fit’. The fit can be found under the features tab on each product page – please see the fit definitions below in order to help you choose the best style for you.

The Shooting Fit builds 10″ to 12″ into the garment from actual chest size, allowing for movement and layering.

The Classic Fit builds 5″ to 6″ into the garment from actual chest size, allowing for layering.

The Fashion & Tailored Fit builds 6″ to 8″ into the garment from actual chest size for a closer fit.
