This is the plain original, the call that has sat in wildfowlers’ coat pockets for generations, and it still does everything that matters. The reed is fully adjustable, so with a little practice it will give you the deep note of a drake, the higher quack of a hen, and the whistle of teal and widgeon besides. There is nothing on it to break or to freeze, and it weighs so little that it can live in a pocket all season and be forgotten about until the birds start moving. Made in the UK. If you want more purchase in a wet hand, the 574 is the same call with a rubber grip.
