The Beadnell is a shape a great many women already know, and this is that shape in quilting rather than wax. The same short, neat cut, the same corduroy collar with a throat latch to fasten across in wind, and the same snap-down vents at the back that open when you sit down or get up on a horse. What changes is the material: diamond-quilted nylon over a fleece lining, so it is lighter than a waxed jacket, warmer than one, and it goes into the machine at thirty degrees, which no wax jacket ever will.
