Not everything needs to be waxed. This one is plain cotton, made for sun rather than rain: the brim keeps glare off your face and the back of your neck covered on a long walk or a day at a game fair. It is overstitched so it holds its shape instead of flopping after a season, there is Barbour logo and shield embroidery at the centre front, and inside you will find the tartan lining and a woven label, the sort of detail nobody else sees and you know is there. Four head sizes from 55 to 61cm. Sponge clean only.
