The wax is the point here. Where most small crossbodies are plain cotton or nylon, this one is waxed cotton in Barbour dark classic tartan, so it shrugs off a shower and weathers into character the way wax always does. It is genuinely small at 18.5 by 15 by 6cm, about two litres, the right size for a phone, a purse and keys and little else, so nothing disappears to the bottom. A zipped front pocket keeps a card to hand, the strap adjusts across its 145cm for wearing high or slung low, and a woven Barbour label sits on the front. Sponge clean only, as wax should be.
