Cloud is the right name for it. This is a pale, quiet check with none of the assertiveness of a tartan and none of the weight of a winter country shirt, which makes it about the easiest checked shirt there is to wear. It goes under a gilet, over a vest, or on its own with jeans on a spring morning, and in none of those cases is it the first thing anybody notices. That is rather the point.
