A wrap earns its keep by being larger than it strictly needs to be. Doubled round the neck it behaves like a scarf; opened out it covers the shoulders at a wedding, goes over the knees in a cold car, or serves as a shawl indoors, which is three things from one piece of cloth. The prints are Barbour’s own and none of them shouts: drawn flowers in coral and mustard across navy, a scatter of small dogs over cream between wide bands of orange and blue, and a soft leopard that turns from gold to navy halfway along.
