For half the year the dog gets walked in the dark at one end of the day or the other, and a black labrador on a lane at five in the afternoon is very nearly invisible. The rope on this lead is reflective along its whole length, so it lights up in headlights from a proper distance. Not a token strip stitched on, but the rope itself. There is 155cm of it, which is enough to let a dog work a verge while you keep to the tarmac, and it is finished with tartan trim and an embossed badge at the handle. In red, which does no harm either.
