There is a great deal of difference between a polo that still looks right in its third summer and one that does not, and most of it lies in the collar and the cotton. This is a proper pique, knitted to resist pilling, so the collar goes on standing up instead of curling over and the surface stays smooth rather than going fuzzy across the shoulders. Barbour and shield embroidery sits at the chest, there is a contrast tape inside the back neck, and the sizes run from small right through to XXXL. This is the summer default: on its own, under a gilet, or with a jacket over the top.
