Fourree simply means lined, and here it is wool: a soft natural fleece right through the boot, which is a different proposition from jersey. Wool holds warmth even when the morning is properly cold and it breathes rather than sweating, so the boot stays comfortable from the yard at seven to the school run at nine. The rubber is Le Chameau’s own Chamolux, flexible enough to walk in all day, and the dual-density Cross outsole takes the jar out of hard ground while gripping wet grass. Short in the leg and easy to pull on. A limited edition this season, so once it has gone it has gone.
