The bird here is painted in proper detail rather than flattened into a logo, which is why it holds up close to: copper breast, bottle-green head, the tail running right out to the edge of the oval. It sits on a cream ground beneath a domed face that lifts the image and keeps it clear. Oval is the quieter shape for cufflinks, reading as a proper piece rather than a novelty, and the rhodium plating keeps the surround bright and white. A swivel T-bar means they go into a double cuff without a struggle.
