A jacket that adjusts to the day rather than the other way round. The Torrent’s hood detaches entirely when you don’t want it, and when you do it offers three-way adjustment with a wired peak you can shape to hold rain off your face. The waist adjusts at the back, the cuffs and hem draw in, and a two-way zip opens from the bottom when you’re seated. Underneath it’s a serious shell: a two-layer PU membrane with fully taped seams, rated 10,000mm waterproof and 5,000 MVT breathable, windproof and completely silent. Five pockets in all — two cargo pockets with side entry, two handwarmers set high to clear a belt, and a zipped security pocket inside. A dropped hem covers you when you bend.
