Young’s 303 has been on British gunroom shelves since 1900, and it has stayed there because it does three jobs in one pass. It is a nitro solvent, so it lifts powder fouling out of the bore. It is an emulsifying cleaner, so it carries the residue away rather than smearing it about. And it leaves a film that holds rust off blued steel through a damp winter. A little on a patch pulled through after a day out is all most guns ask for. Worth knowing it is not a lubricant, so keep it out of the action and use a proper gun oil there.

Alan Paine Sizing Charts

Alan Paine clothing has three defined fits, ‘Shooting Fit’, ‘Classic Fit’ and ‘Fashion & Tailored Fit’. The fit can be found under the features tab on each product page – please see the fit definitions below in order to help you choose the best style for you.

The Shooting Fit builds 10″ to 12″ into the garment from actual chest size, allowing for movement and layering.

The Classic Fit builds 5″ to 6″ into the garment from actual chest size, allowing for layering.

The Fashion & Tailored Fit builds 6″ to 8″ into the garment from actual chest size for a closer fit.
