Linen creases. That is not a fault to be apologised for but the whole character of the cloth: it softens with every wash, breathes in a way cotton cannot manage, and looks rather better slightly rumpled than it ever does pressed flat. This one is cut relaxed with deep side seams, so it hangs away from the body and layers easily over a vest or under a gilet without pulling anywhere. The stripe is soft rather than sharp, the buttons carry Barbour branding, and a slim metal bar sits at the back of the neck. Machine wash at 30°C.
