Tattersall takes its name from Richard Tattersall, whose London horse market used the check on its stable blankets in the eighteenth century, and it has been a country pattern ever since. This one is drawn large, fine coloured lines crossing over a paler ground, and it is woven in Scotland from 100% lambswool, which is more than most scarves at this price can claim. At 25cm wide it is a slim scarf rather than a shawl, so it sits inside a jacket collar without bulking out the neck, and the ends are finished with a fringe. 180cm long, in a choice of colourways.
