A small check is the most useful pattern a person can own. Close to, the tattersall is all there in fine coloured lines; from across a room it simply reads as a good colour, which is why this sits as happily under a suit collar as it does over a wax jacket and never argues with whatever else you have on. Lambswool gives it the soft, faintly warm handle that man-made yarn never quite manages, and at 25 by 180cm it is slim enough to tuck inside a coat without bulking out the neck.
