The collar is corduroy, and it is a small thing that changes the whole character of the garment. Cotton canvas on its own reads as workwear; a cord collar softens it into something you would happily wear to lunch. Inside, the yoke is trimmed in a wool blend, which puts a bit of warmth exactly where the back of your neck notices it. The rest is straightforward and none the worse for it: canvas outer, button through the front, and a chest pocket carrying a Barbour badge. Regular fit, in navy or beige. Machine wash at 30°C.
