From the outside it is simply a flat cap. Fold down the ear flaps tucked away inside and it becomes something a good deal more useful, the sort of thing you are grateful for halfway round a January walk when the wind turns and finds your ears. The crown is fleece lined for warmth, the peak is preformed so it holds its shape rather than going soft in the rain, and unlike a waxed cap this one is properly waterproof rather than merely showerproof. An embossed Barbour badge sits at the back. Dark olive or classic brown, sizes small to extra large. Hand wash only.
