A ditsy print works because of what is left out. The flowers here are small and scattered wide, so most of what you see is the ground colour with a sprinkle of red, yellow, pink and blue across it, closer in effect to a plain scarf with a bit of charm than to a floral. That makes it easy alongside something already patterned, where a busier print would only fight. The cloth is soft and light with a fine twill face and a proper drape. Four colours: olive, pink, powder blue and white, the olive in particular being a good country neutral.
