Fixed parallax is only a limitation if you shoot somewhere other than where it is set. This one is set at a hundred yards, which is where a good deal of fox and deer shooting actually happens, so leaving off the adjustable objective costs nothing and saves you a hundred grams and a ring to turn. What you keep is the part that matters after dark: a fifty-millimetre bell feeding 4.2mm of light to the eye at full magnification, illumination in red or green across five levels, and mil dots to hold over with when the range stretches.
