What finishes most waterproof trousers is not the rain. It is a strand of barbed wire, or a blackthorn you did not see. Once the face is torn the membrane behind it is done, and no amount of reproofing brings it back. The Berry is built from a tear-resistant polyester with imitation suede laid in at the places that take the punishment, which is the difference between one season and five. Behind that sits a laminated membrane with taped seams and a brushed lining. Seven pockets, preformed knees, and a waistband that does not slip.
