Standing still is what makes you cold. Walking up a hedge you hardly notice the wind; stood at a peg for twenty minutes in January you notice nothing else, and that is what the flaps are for. Down and over the ears when it bites, folded up out of the way when it does not. There is shearling fleece trim behind them and the crown is lined in Barbour tartan. The outer is 6oz waxed cotton in the familiar diamond quilt, so it sheds rain and will take a re-wax like a jacket. Olive or rustic, head sizes 55 to 61cm. It fits close, so take the larger if you are between sizes.
