There is a game bag built into the back of this one, zipped across and big enough to matter, which is what separates a shooting gilet from a merely warm one. Birds go in behind you and your hands stay free: nothing swinging off a shoulder, nothing to carry. The rest is generously pocketed as well, with two large pockets low down, handwarmers above them and three more inside, two of those zipped and one sized for a telephone. The cloth is soft rather than crisp, so it does not announce you when you move.
