Camel is the quiet one. Where a blue or a green tattersall announces itself under a jacket, this sits back and lets the tweed do the talking, and it goes as happily with olive and navy as it does with brown. The check is drawn small, so from a few feet away it reads almost as a warm plain. There is a little stretch worked into the cotton, which country shirts do not usually bother with and which you notice reaching over a gate or driving, the finish is brushed soft, and pleats at the back give room across the shoulders.
